Over the last week, there have been a growing number of calls for central Government to extend the lifetime of planning permissions to ensure that the delivery of housing is not disrupted. 

This is commendable and it is vital that the Government does all it can to ensure that housing (and all the wide ranging socio-economic benefits that come with it) is delivered in a timely manner.
